Quarantined and Crazy
The kids are doing an amazing job working from home. They're typically logged in every day by 8:25 or so, starting their work with a little breakfast (and Raelee- a cup of coffee). To only be Day 4, they really have this down. So proud of their efforts and commitment! Mommy is going nuts in the other hand. She’s had painted the half bath and redecorated the master, washed the inside and outside of all cabinets and has plans to clean the carpets. Lots of Disney Plus and even some at home workouts are getting us through. But, all it does is rain. Once it stops, we’re outside!

Corona virus & Disappointments
The media has been continually adding fuel to everyone’s fire of panic about the corona virus. The world took the next level of precaution last week. In our world, it all began with word from Kort and Trilogy that any employee who voluntarily leaves the country, will be forced to self quarantine themselves for 14 days. This quickly had the family realize that the cruise would inevitably be cancelled. Fortunately, Grammy and Poppy purchased insurance. Therefore, they were able to get a full refund. Mommy contacted Disney and also submitted a request for refund. It’s disappointing, yet necessary for these precautions to occur. Not long after, NBA cancelled their season and the NCAA called off the tournament. Soon, all spring sports were cancelled and school was called off through Spring Break (totally 3 weeks). While the kids will participate in NTI days at home, mommy will be completing chores and to do lists around the house as she will be working through June 11th.
We’re going to make the most of it! We’ve even purchased Disney Plus to enjoy some amazing movies while we’re home.
Jordyn’s Cheer Banquet
Last Monday night we celebrated the MWMS Cheer season at High Point in Mount Washington. Jordyn received the Captain Award for leadership. She had to rush from clinics at BA for BEHS cheer, changing in the car, and running more than 45 minutes late, to make it to the banquet.

It’s hard to believe that in a few short months, she will be in high school.
Remembering the Prather Girls
There are some people who come into your life that bring so much joy and happiness, that you don’t realize the impact they had on you, or so many others, until they’re gone. On February 14th, I was home with the kids while Raelee was watching Eli and Emma as their parents enjoyed a night out. The call was from Missy on the other end of the line. The phone had rang several times, but because Amie and Robbie had come to pick the kids up, I ignored the first few. But then when I began to see unusual Facebook updates, I began to realize something was wrong. I could have never dreamed what that would be. Missy picked up and told me the news: both Rhyan and her mom, Lesley, has died (along with another mother and daughter) in a car accident after being hit head on, while headed to Kansas City MO for a volleyball tournament. I felt sick; I was in shock. There was nothing I could do or say. I walked into the kitchen, nearly in tears but truly too numb to cry, and told the family. The girls instantly broke down.
Over the next several days, there was an extreme cloud of sadness that covered our school. Former teachers, like myself, grieved over their loss and mourned for their siblings and for Justin. The community and our Tully family rallied in support by joining in prayer, honoring the girls as they were brought home and escorted by the fire department, running in an impromptu 5k, and bringing food and love to all affected. The visitation was unlike anything we’d ever seen. The girls and I waited in line for more than 2 hours. The family was broken. We felt their pain. The funeral was so emotional. From remarks by their Uncle Gary, tears of thankfulness from Justin, and words of encouragement and empathy from Southeast’s pastor, there was not a dry eye in the room.
We continue to reach out to be there- to do anything we can to love on these people. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think of them; pray for them. This world will never be the same.
XC/Track Team Family
No matter how much time they spend together in the grass or on the track, they are like family- always there for each other. They enjoyed an evening of ice skating at Iceland, with lots of laughs and a ton of fun.

Another Indoor Track Meet & Mason’s District Academic Team Meet
These kiddos keep us on our toes for sure! Marty helped Mason get to his Academic Team match at Pleasant Grove, for the district competition. While he despises written assessment (which he competes in Social Studies for) we are so proud of him for completing the season. He works hard at everything he does and we can’t ask for more than that. Raelee and I joined the Swifts and Tyler Bass and headed to Maysville Ky for an indoor track meet on February 8th.

Raelee’s 1st Indoor Track Meet
Raelee ran her first indoor track meet at the University of Kentucky’s Wildcat Classic on February 1st. This was a whole new experience: the crowd, number of heats per event, breathing, and even overall energy was insane. She ran a 6:10 mile, placing 46th out of 88 runners and 11th freshman out of 22. In the 800, she ran a 2:52, placing 70th overall out of 109 and 19th freshman out of 29.

Mason & the Bobcats
Boy does this kid love basketball! Even when they lose, he keeps his head up and continues to work hard. We are so proud of how far he’s come. He’s played in two tournaments: one in Meade Co and one in Grayson Co. The Grayson Co tournament is when the boys really showed what they could do on defense. We can’t wait to see what they do next!

Jordyn’s 8th Grade Night
This was a whirlwind of a season. Little experience, new coach, and little funding made for a challenging few months. Jordyn was the captain of the team, along with Shelby, and they kept the team’s morale up when things got tough. I’m so proud of her and how she led this squad.

Happy Birthday Mason & Raelee
It’s hard to believe that on the 28th we celebrated Mason’s 9th birthday. Even crazier, we celebrated Raelee’s 15th on the 29th. Mason invited his buddies, Zeke, Landon and Darius for milkshakes at Culver’s and to see Star Wars at the movies. These boys sure did make mommy laugh. Unfortunately, daddy had to work late and couldn’t join us, so I was enjoying time alone with these great kids.

Raelee decided to have an all girl party (which we didn’t complain about) and kept it low key with food and pjs. We know next year will be some pretty big milestones for these two. Time, please slow down!
Welcome Baby Corinne!
Baby Corinne was born on December 26, 2019. She is perfect! We kept Claire and Malcolm the night of the 25th and had the joy of bringing them up to meet her. We were all smitten for sure!

Daddy: Santa’s Little Helper
Daddy has taken over the family tradition by bringing joy to all the littles on Christmas Day with the Bewley side. He sure does own it.

Christmas Day 2019
This was a Christmas to remember! After the kids opened all their gifts from Santa, we surprised them with Disney “Best Day Ever” shirts and a day at Magic Kingdom before porting for our family cruise on 3/29/2020. They were so excited! Mason’s favorite gift this year was his Amazon kindle fire. The girls asked for a ton of clothes but I’d say Raelee’s Air Force Ones and Jordyn’s adidas shoes were their favorites. We changed things up this year by having Christmas upstairs instead of the basement. Mommy didn’t get a chance to put the tree up downstairs, so Santa visited our living room instead. We said goodbye after Sam the elf left following his annual visit. It was a Christmas season to remember, for sure.

Christmas Eve 2019
Mommy has been so behind updating the blog! With our busy schedules, it’s been on the back burner. This Christmas was another one for the books. Christmas Eve at Mamaw and Papaw’s had another new addition with Carder. Next Christmas Eve will include two more babies, as well! We missed daddy this year as he was working at Circle K so had to meet up with us later to spend time there and then head to Papaw Steve’s.
