It's May-- Why are we roasting marshmallows?

Saturday was a chilly day only reaching a high of 62. Plus, it was extremely breezy making it a challenge to start a fire. But, we managed. Mamaw, Papaw, Annie and Ryan joined us for cook-out food, a game of pool and time around our "camp" fire. :-)

Jordyn decided to skip the idea of "roasting" and went straight to eating them out of the bag; smart girl.

Last Swim Class: Saturday, May 8, 2010

Saturday morning was the girls' final swim class at the Southwest YMCA... They are begging me to sign them up again. Raelee has conquered her fear of jumping in and going under the water without holding her nose and swimming on her own without floaties. Jordyn is also jumping in without holding her nose and swimming well with a noodle or a back float.

I'm looking forward to this summer! It's amazing what a difference a year can make!

"Praise Parade" Choir Concert. May 2, 2010

This year the 3, 4 and 5-year old's at Highvew Baptist took on the "Praise Parade." Raelee and Jordyn had speaking parts during the concert, both doing very well speaking clearly and loudly into the microphone:

Raelee's Line: "Everyone stand up and get your feet ready to march!"
Jordyn's Line: "Let's get ready for a great big cheer!"

After the concert, the parents lined up as the teachers marched the kids down the long hallway for a "parade" where they met for popcorn, cookies, and cotton candy.
