Homecoming 2022- Raelee & Caleb Win King & Queen!
Introducing your 2022, BEHS Homecoming King & Queen!

College Visit #3
Raelee and I toured Bellarmine University on Thursday, 9/29. While she fell in love with the campus, we don’t think it’s going to be her too choice.
Homecoming Week 2022
Powder Puff, daily themes, and more! Seniors beat the juniors in powder puff, but the seniors lost to the freshman. The girls had so much fun but were exhausted after a full week in SLAM planning for all the fun.

Jordyn’s Sweet 16!
Just before Jordyn’s 16th birthday, we were able to find her a 2012, white Toyota Camry with tinted windows and leather interior. She’s in love! She started her morning off with passing her permit test (only missing 2) and ended the day with dinner at Miwasa for sushi. The next evening, she had a neon blowout, with black lights, corn hole, volleyball, dancing, basketball, food and more!

Senior Year Moments
There’s been a few exciting things this year so far, but to begin, Raelee took her senior drape pictures just before school started. She’s also enjoying being a red zone rowdy leader.

August 20th- Raelee’s Last XC Race
Raelee ran her last XC race at Etown’s Run for the Gold on Saturday evening, August 20, 2022. She felt good going into the race; like she had done everything right as far as water intake, stretching, and nutrition is concerned. It wasn’t long into the run that we knew something was wrong. She clasped her chest as she ran, her vision became blurry, and even Coach Hughes (and Athletic Director at BE) tried hard to get her to bow out. It was evident she was hurting. In typical Raelee fashion, she kept going. But her finish was terrifying. She collapsed, struggling to calm her breathing and slow her heart rate. Her pulse was threaded, her breathing was shallow. A little while later, she came to but knew this was it. Her body wasn’t going to let her compete any longer. After a follow up appointment with her Cardiologist, and really no reason as to why this happens when she races, it was her decision to stop running competitively, and focus on just staying healthy. While it is not how we wanted this to end for her, she has many more things to do in her life. This was just part of her journey.

First Day of School 2022
We have a 6th-grader, Junior, and Senior. This is my 9th first day of school since my teaching career began. This is going to be a crazy, fun, emotional, and one full of changes, kind of year.

Mason Goes to Church Camp
Mason had a very busy summer of camps and loved every minute of it! This was his first time sleeping away from home. And…he didn’t seem to miss us too much either. While he was at Southeast’s youth camp, he professed his faith in Jesus and made the decision to devote his life to him. We couldn’t have been more proud. The very next day, he was baptized in front of church members and family.

Raelee Goes to Jupiter!
Not long after we returned from our cruise, Raelee flew out of Cincinnati to Orlando to meet Caleb’s Aunt Nicki who lives in Jupiter, FL. Raelee fell in love with the crystal blue waters and fun places to eat. She can’t wait to go back!
