Happy 60th Mamaw!
As a mom you tend to put your kids first. That’s to be expected but on a special day like your 60th birthday you deserve to be pampered and surprised by your own girls! We started at Board and Brush and ended our time together at Porcinni’s. We hope it’s a memory she’ll cherish always!
School Day FUN!
The girls crack me up how they don’t care what they look like as long as they’re having fun. Two weeks ago was spirit week at MWMS. One day was “nerd” day and they rocked it out. In the meantime, Mason had career day where he dressed as a teacher. Love these guys!

Happy Halloween 2017!
While the girls are growing up, they’re still not quite ready to give up trick or treating...well, not with their friends anyway. They both went as a themed group costume with Raelee being Cinderella and Jordyn as Roo. While they did their thing, we had a great time trick or treating inTwelve Oaks with Batman. It was a chilly one for sure, but the candy made it all worth it!

Cheer Competition Season is Underway!
Jordyn is incredibly driven and works very hard. She’s making straight A’s in a new school with so much going on. She practices three or four days a week with games and competitions in between. Two weeks ago at a Thursday practice at TC3, Jordyn was doing a roundoff, back handspring, back tuck. As she was coming up from the tuck, another 8th grade girl was coming down from hers and landed directly on the back of Jordyn’s neck. She was hit very hard. I received a call from Coach Becky and darted there immediately. When I arrived, Jordyn’s eyes were glassed over and she was dazed. We all decided it was best I take her to Kosair right away. Turns out, she was concussed but did not require a cat scan. She was out for five days but returned to cheer as soon as she had the chance. These are the days when fear hits hard but we are so thankful she was okay.

So far this year, Jordyn has cheered several games and competed in two competitions, with another one this afternoon at Bullitt East. They placed 2nd in their division and their first competition, first in their division ad overall grand champs in last weekends Eastside competition. She has worked so hard as a 6th grader and can’t wait to see what she’ll do! Regionals is next weekend which is so hard to believe! So proud of Jordyn and her team. Go Generals!
Fall Break 2017
We never do much of anything on fall break since mommy doesn’t really get more than a day off, however, this year I took a day to spend some precious time with the kiddos. We went to Main Event, Lunch and a movie. What fun!

Another XC Season Comes to an End
Raelee had another great season in XC, but came out disappointed as a 7th grader running in a 7/8th grade State meet. She dropped several spots after falling early in the race. It’s a learning experience that we know will make her tougher and even better in her last year before high school. We are so proud of all her hard work. Way to go Raelee!
