Daddy Turns 40!

Almost 17 years married, over 21 together and now we’re turning 40. I surprised Marty with an amazing Bourbon tour through Nulu, through Sour Mash Tours. We had a fabulous time and learned the history and authenticity of our bourbon country. Following the tour, more family and friends joined us at home for BBQ and beer tasting from Flywheel of course. The day was a success!  So happy to be growing “old” with the guy. ♥️#harvest #taj #feast

Scout Water Day at MWFD

What a cool community we live in!  The Scout Pack 100 has a blast at the fire department with a pretty amazing water day.  I love the friendships Mason has made through this program. Dodgeball, “the hose”, and 2 liter bottle rockets were a few highlights of the afternoon.
Marty was pied yet I can’t remember why!  Who cares...I’m sure it was deserved. 😁

Poolside Fun!

We have enjoyed our pool more this summer than ever before. There are lots of laughs, tricks and fun all summer long.

Nelson Co Ag Day 5k

Raelee is continuing to improve as a runner. She trained with Aime Isabel over the summer to keep in shape and get stronger. She ran a 5k on a beautiful July 7th morning. She placed first in her age group and 1st overall in the women’s division of the race. Keep working hard girl!

Raelee Trusts in the Lord

Of all the things you are proud of as a parent, I’ve never felt as overjoyed as when Raelee called me her third morning of camp saying, “Mommy, I got saved last night.”  We knew this was coming soon due to the questions, her change in heart, and her growing love for Jesus. We are so thankful our merciful God answered our prayers. As her youth minister, Jason, said, “She’s part of THE family now.”

Mason’s Big Adventure

While the girls were at camp the last week of June, Mason and I spent a couple days with Mamaw and Papaw. We saw Jurassic World, Mason picked out a Lego Spider-Man and Ironman toy to build, and we hit Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum.  The Dome and Dripstones tour was pretty amazing. Mason enjoyed the Corvette Museum more since he was able to see the sink hole damage and ride with Papaw in a simulator race. We are so blessed to have these days together. ❤️

Holiday World 2018

We had a great time once again at Holiday World. This year, we brought along the Lucas family. The weather was HOT on July 1st, but we still managed to make the most of it. This family fun day was just a day following the girls’ return from camp. To say they were exhausted would be a huge understatement. Until next year...
