Final Moms and Muffins
5th grade offers many "last times" at Tully for this momma. Friday was no exception as Jordyn and I participated in our final Moms and Muffins at Tully. She is more than ready for middle school but I'm not quite ready to let her go.
Mom & Dad are Ragnarians!
Mommy and daddy have been training for a good while to prepare for a 15 mile trail relay at Otter Creek Park. Last weekend, we had our chance to prove ourselves. I drew the short straw with two night runs, but our team still managed to pull out a 20th place overall and 9th place division title. Moreover, we had a great time making new friends and had an experience we will never forget.
Father Daughter Dance 2017
It was Jordyn's turn to have her solo date with daddy for the dance Friday night. They began by eating at FiestaTime Amigos and headed to Tully for a "Get Your Glow On" fun-filled night. We cannot believe this girl is headed to middle school with sis. Where is time going?
Our Little Leader of the Month
There has been so much to report over the last six weeks, so I am adding so much to my posts at one time. There was an issue with the blog account settings I had to get worked out but I believe now I'm on track. The world seems to be in a state of chaos with bombings and chemical warfare in Syria. It's refreshing when I take a moment to celebrate what is positive and my kids seem to always do a nice job of bringing the best out in me and our little world. So this post is dedicated to our little man who earned "Leader of the Month" out of all of Kindergarten at Crossroads. His teacher has been an amazing fit for him. After a rough go in pre-school, Mommy and Daddy were quite worried about how this year would go. He is performing above grade level across the board, is always "top" or " off the chart" everyday and seems to be happy. We are simply thrilled!
Mason's First Basketball Game
Mason participated in his first ever basketball game. He did so with Mrs. Edward's Bears and I will say...it was hilarious. The kids did nothing but travel and struggled to pass the back. Everyone wanted to make a shot. Mason did give his best at dribbling and passing and even took a couple shots. It was a sweet memory as his family team cheered him on.
Our CEO!
Jordyn was selected to be CEO of the Medical Centerfor JA Biztown in March. She did an amazing job getting it all done. She did express how hard it was but had a great time. Watch out world because here she comes!
Jamfest Super National Champs!
On March 18, Jordyn and her Peaches competed at the Expo Center for the Jamfest title. Not only did the girls win in their division, but they also won the overall Grand Champ title, giving them a free bid to US Finals in Chicago which takes place this weekend. They hit on all points and gave an amazing performance! So proud of them!
Mason is a Busy Little Man
Mason has kept us hopping with Scout promotions, school projects and events at school. Last week he had leadership day and had to build a leprechaun trap which he decided to do out of legos. Very creative! His Scout promotion, which took place in Feb, allowed him to celebrate with his friends and be promoted to a Tiger. So proud of this little man.
