Fun in Cincy

Saturday we headed to Cincinnati with Kennedy, Davis, Josh and Alecea for the day.  First stop was the Newport Aquarium,. then lunch and a few hours at the Children's Museum, which was really cool!  The kids had a great day.  When we left, everyone passed out in the van from exhaustion. It was a great way to spend a fun day indoors, out of the cold.  We will definitely do it again!

Winter Literacy Night at Tully

Mommy is on the committee that heads up Literacy Night, among many other events, at school.  So, the kids joined me for Reader's Theater and many other fun stations on Thursday evening.  Another 5th grade teacher's father passed away suddenly this week.  The girls are buddies with his girls, so we had one big slumber party, following the Literacy night, at our house.  We woke up to 2 inches of snow and over an hour getting to school on Friday morning!  I had six absences in my room and many other teachers had only half their class show up due to poor road conditions.
