BOOKS!
Mason loves books. Today while we were at the library, Jordyn picked out a couple she thought he'd enjoy. So, tonight, while the girls were riding their bikes, Mason sat on the front porch and combed the book over and over. After bath, I typically read Mason a book (he loves Olivia,) but tonight Raelee took care of it. When I came in after cleaning up the bathroom, the kids were on the couch and Mason was glued to the story as Raelee read it to him. It's crazy sometimes how much the girls love their little brother and how much he loves them right back.
Summer is Grand
I have to admit, the kids and I are having a blast being at home this summer. The girls are loving it and have said multiple times how happy they are that I am home. Raelee found my old BB&T name tag in a compartment in the van today. While I was a little sad and TON of flashbacks came rolling in, when I saw what time it was as we were driving from the library, after a day at the pool; not to mention the way things have seemed to fall into place and take care of themselves, I know I have made the right decision. Yesterday, the kids had a picnic in the front yard. It always sounds like a good idea until jelly winds up everywhere! During Mason's nap, the girls made a pallet on the deck and played their DS's (by the way- may be the second time since Santa brought them at Christmas.) Still, the photo is cute...

Will Run for Beer...
So 2.4 miles doesn't sound like much. And it isn't...unless you're drinking beer along the way. I participated in my first Tap N Run which started downtown under the 2nd St bridge and ended in the same place. There were some CRAZY costumes! We had a great time. The good news was that I was not the one to slow Marty and Aaron down. By the way, we were dressed as rednecks. Yes... I'm running with a baby; his name: Ricky Bobby.
