Red River Gorge Spring Break 2018

We’ve never camped, or hiked, or climbed much of anything. But, we are a family that’s up for adventure and boy did we get it!  Thanks to the sweet Lucas family and Mr Billy’s guidance we had a trip to remember. We climbed things like Indian Staircase and Cloud Splitter, all while seeing the most beautiful sights we could ever imagine. While mommy made a memory book to capture it all, here are some of our favorites...

Happy Easter 2018!

Easter fell on the 1st of April this year, which also happened to lead into our Spring Break. The crowd was small on the Bewley side due to so many being out of town. We had a great time hunting eggs and heading to Mamaw and Papaw’s for egg hunting and fun with Claire and Malcolm. We’re reminded of how truly blessed we are to have our health and happiness. Thank you Jesus for saving us!

Mason’s 1st Grade Class Basketball Game

Mason has really enjoyed playing basketball this season and his class b-ball game was his time to shine. He scored 10 points for his team. The best part was that he didn’t hog the ball; he tried to pass it gently to his teammates (especially the girls).  I love his ♥️.

Snow...Again...in March!

This has been a wacky winter to say the least. Snow days have pushed the kids to staying in school until June 7th and Mommy in school until May 30th. We do try to make the most of it, though!  On our day off on March 21st, the kids spent some time sledding with neighbors and attempting to build a snowman. I really do loves these days home with them. Making memories. ♥️

Mason’s Leadership Day!

I admit that I had my reservations about Mason being in a K-1 split. However, this has given him an amazing opportunity to be a leader in the classroom.  He has really grown both socially and academically this year. His reading has taken off and he gets excited when he does well. Like every year, they have Leadership Day at CES and all students are supposed to dress for success. Here’s our future leader...

Jordyn’s MWMS Cheer Banquet

Jordyn had an amazing first season as a middle school cheerleader. She perfected her round off back tuck and is so extremely close to landing her standing back tuck. She managed to maintain her role as a main base and is solid at it; all this while taking all AP classes and holding a 4.0 GPA. So proud of her and her start as a middle schooler!
