We have participated in Johnson's Derby Parade for many years now. Every year, we love it even more! While the kiddos up to two years of age do not make a float, the little ones ride in wagons and a "bye-bye" buggie down Bruce Ave, in front of Kenwood Elementary, and back. At Kenwood, the kids come out to cheer on the parade. It's a fun time for everyone!

Taylor Swift Mania!
After the races (so yes, this was a VERY long day for Mommy and Daddy) we headed home for a quick shower and jumped in the car, Lexington-bound, for the girls first-ever concert. I have to say, Taylor Swift knows how to put on a show! On a side note, Mommy dropped her phone in the toilet while we were there so it was up to Dad to get some shots from his phone.
RACE DAY!
Last Saturday, Marty took on the very large task of running his first ever full marathon. That's right... 26.2. While I only ran 13.1, I was decently pleased with my time. We were so grateful having parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and our own children there to help cheer us on through the finish line. Marty finished in 4.26 hrs and I finished just shy of the 2 hour mark at 2 hrs and 35 seconds. Geez! Regardless-- it was a great day to run!
Balloon Glow 2013
We all met Alecea, Josh and Kennedy at Wicks for some carbs last Friday night prior to our big races the next morning. After supper, we headed to the Kentucky Derby Festival Balloon Glow. The kids had a blast. I think Mason enjoyed the free samples of strawberry smoothies McD's was passing out, more than anything!
Raelee Pulls Her Own Tooth!
Last week was a crazy week to say the least! After a long stretch of having a VERY loose tooth, Raelee finally got the guts and pulled it right out!
It's funny seeing both girls with one top tooth missing!
