Winter Jam!

Mamaw, the girls and I all went to Freedom Hall Sunday night, for the Winter Jam 2016 Christian Concert. The girls have only been to one other concert so they had a ball and were simply amazed!  Their favorites were Lauren Daigle and Matthew West. We left a little early, but were thankful just to get in given how long the line was!

Despite the challenging weekend we had after losing Ellie, we made the most of it with church and worship, pretty clothes and egg hunts. This is one rare occasion where Mason will "look handsome" as he likes to say.

Friday, March 25th was one of our most challenging parenting days so far. Raelee and I stayed up late watching "You've Got Mail" in the basement. Ellie was down there with us and we thought we should let her out one last time before going to bed. Many minutes passed and she didn't come back in. We called her several times, but no Ellie. I asked Raelee to raise the garage door thinking she may run in once she heard the sound. When Raelee turned on the outside lights, I ran to the road as I saw her laying there. I had Raelee run and get her daddy. The screaming cries are ones I will never forget. We miss her terribly and still not sure exactly what happened. We assume she was hit since she was so hard to see at night. The kids are healing and have done very well considering (especially Raelee given she saw it all). We had to tell Mason and Jordyn when they woke up the following morning. We have many sweet memories with this basically perfect first pet for our family. She will always be in our hearts. 

Father Daughter Dance 2016

This year daddy was fortunate enough to take two pretty girls to the father daughter dance at Tully on Friday, March 18th. Aren't they sharp?!
