Chicago Continued...

NAVY PIER...AND, WE MISSED MASON! (thank you Grammy for taking care of our little man.)

The Girls Experience Chicago...

Most everyone knows that the girls love American Girl. On Friday morning, we headed to Chicago to experience it first-hand. Mommy, Mamaw, Annie, Raelee and Jordyn hit the road bright and early to begin our 5 1/2 hour journey. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel on E Grand Ave and really enjoyed our room and the location. It was just blocks away from Michigan Ave and had the necessities- like an indoor pool! Our first day we hit the streets to do a little shopping, swam and ate at a real Chicago pizza pub. Day 2 began our real experience, however, as we started our morning eating breakfast at the American Girl Cafe. It was amazing! This place is unbelievable. We then shopped the store and Jordyn picked out her first American Girl doll (besides her biddy boy and girl dolls,)-- her name is Rebecca and she looks a lot like Jordyn. We then had the baby dolls' ears pierced, Raelee had her doll's hair done and we equipped them with clothing and shoes. What a blast! Afterwards, we headed to the hotel for a little R and R but then took a cab to Navy Pier where we rode rides and enjoyed an awesome fireworks show! It was a great time and a trip to remember!
