Jordyn’s Baptism
Jordyn’s baptism took place at FBC during the 11:00 service on Sunday. She had tremendous support from family, and also from friends. I am so excited to witness what the Lord is doing in her life and proud she remained obedient to God and followed her profession of faith, in baptism. We all came back to the house for a quick taco bar and Raelee’s famous brownies, before Jordyn and a few others had to head to open gym for cheer.

Hoka 3200m Race For Raelee
Raelee proves that hard work pays off. She continues to decrease her times and Saturday she proved it in the 3200 at Fern Creek HS. She placed first in her heat and 7th overall, running a 13:57 in the two-mile. XC Season is here!
First Day of School 2019-2020
Three kids, three schools, three different schedules. One by one, an hour apart, they each left for their first days. I drove Raelee, Taylor’s mom took Jordyn, and I drove Mason, heading in to set up my classroom. They all had great days!

Claire
When Aunt Annie asked Raelee to watch Claire every Monday this summer, I never dreamed how amazing she’d be at it. She is a natural mother and a wonderful role model for this sweet six-year old. We sure will miss having her every week.

Back to School Haircuts and Nails
Haircuts, shopping, shoes and even dipped nails. We took in our last couple of days of summer enjoying breakfast at Bob Evans and just some time together. Summers are never long enough but this one in particular, was so much fun. Excited of what this year will bring for these three!

Freshman Orientation for Raelee
It’s hard to imagine that we have a high-schooler, but we do. Raelee headed to Bullitt East for the first time as an official Charger on Friday, August 2nd, for Freshman Orientation. From 9-12 she learned what it is like to “do school” at BEHS. She left beaming, more relaxed and excited about having at least one person she knew in every class. We are excited for her and what these next four years will bring. #classof2023
Jordyn’s 13th Birthday Luau...a little early
We celebrated Jordyn’s 13th Birthday on Friday, July 26th. She really wanted to have a pool party, themed as a luau, so we thought we’d ensure the water would be warm and back to school schedules wouldn’t interfere. She invited 11 other kiddos and all had an amazing time. Pizza, ice cream bar, punch, volleyball and pool games highlighted the evening! The girls spent the night, with most joining us at the Generals car wash and road block the next morning at 10.

Jordyn and University of Kentucky Cheer Camp
Our die hard UofL fan headed to the UCA Cheer Camp, hosted at UofK in mid July for four nights. To say she learned a ton, worked hard, and had fun would all be under statements. 15-hour days and lots of cheering led to an exhausted 12-year old and no voice left when we picked her up. We are so proud of the kindness and spirit she showed that week as she was awarded the Pin It Forward. It’s for girls that show amazing leadership, spirit and positivity. She was the only one from her team that received the award and was chosen by UCA Staff. On Friday, she pinned it on another cheerleader, passing it on to a girl she met while at church camp just a few weeks prior. So happy for her and the hopeful season she’ll have as an 8th-grader. Go Generals!

Mom Gets a New Ride!
The kids were so surprised after they spent a couple days at Mamaw’s, and came home to see our new to us 2016 GMC Acadia in the driveway. No more “embarrassing” mini van for us. So far...we love it!

Mason’s 1st XC Practice
Mason has decided to run XC this year, which coincidentally is also the same time Raelee entered this amazing sport, as well. We are so proud of his determination and commitment. Daddy is helping coach the 3rd thru 5th graders, as well. Let’s go East!
Orange Beach 2019
We absolutely love the beaches in Alabama. It is the one place where we can all relax- no schedules, just beach fun. Just the five of us headed down on June 29th (just a couple days after the girls returned from camp) and returned on July 6th. We did end up staying across the street this go round in Romar Village. It wasn’t ideal for our size family, nor was it on the beach, but we definitely made the most of it! We enjoyed eating at The Gulf, Wolf Bay and of course, The Hangout. We met Uncle Aaron and Aunt Melissa and her family at The Hangout on the 4th and watched some fireworks on the public beach. We even had a day at the beach with them on Friday, at The Phoenix X West in OB. What a great time!

Camp Blessings
The girls returned from camp and Jordyn professed her faith in our Lord. We are so thankful to our Father for captivating her heart. And...they also had a wonderful time!
