Mason’s YMCA Basketball Season

Oh what a difference a year makes!  Mason’s ball-handling skills, ability to move towards the ball, shots on goal, rebounds and assists have all improved tremendously over the last 8 months or so since his challenge league ended in the spring. We put him in the YMCA short season, where he played for the Nuggets, only practicing 20 minutes before the game, all of which were played at Roby Elementary. His coach was patient and encouraging. While this league is not ultra competitive, it did offer Mason another chance to play with kids his age and get experience on the court. Can’t wait to see what this year’s challenge league holds.
