Sweet Home "Away from Home" Alabama

Our trip to Gulf Shores began at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd.  We started our 10-hour journey to Gulf Shores where we would stay at the San Carlos condos on Beach Blvd in the heart of Gulf Shores for seven nights!  Mamaw, Papaw, Annie, Ryan and Claire joined us for the week.  Highlights for the kids included hunting for seashells, riding the waves on our tubes, playing at the pool with new friends (Miley and Emma,) and riding go-carts at a nearby fun zone called The Track.  Marty and I loved The Shrimp Basket and Mikee's... the food was delicious!  Mason really improved his walking on the trip; the sand and the pool were great therapy!  We were sad to see Gulf Shores go, but brought back some sand and one gallon-sized bag and two sandwich-sized bags of seashells home. They're on our mantel to remind us of our home away from home.  We had a blast!
